Instead of creating yet another colourful and expensive spelling game, we've tried to build a useful spelling test website for primary school children.

Here you'll find over 400 online spelling tests that aim to challenge students' vocabulary and spelling skills.

Easy Online Spelling Practice and Games

Every one of our games is a simple, online, multiple-choice spelling quiz. Children listen to the word, then the word within a sentence and finally the word again. They then have four choices and must select the correct spelling.

At the end of the test, children can see how many they got right and the correct spelling for each word.

Each test has at least 8 questions to stretch children's spelling skills!

Interactive Spelling Games for Kids

Our online spelling tests are split into children's age groups, from Year 1 (when children are between 5 and 6 years old) all the way up to Year 6 (when they are between 10 and 11 years old).

All our spelling games use British English words and are written for the national curriculum in England.

Practice Your Words

Once your child completes a test, it's essential that they practice spelling the words they got wrong. We recommend writing out each word, by hand, at least three times.
